Yankee Shutter warrants its products (which are installed in accordance with the manufacturer's published installation instructions) against any defects in material or workmanship causing breaking, cracking, splitting, or warping, for as long as you own the home or building on which the shutters were originally installed. This warranty is non-transferable. Coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer ownership of your shutters. Any claims under this warranty must be made in writing.
Painting a color-through (Polypropylene) shutter will void the warranty.
Failure to paint a paintable (Polystyrene) shutter at the time of installation will void the warranty.
Paint, if applied by the manufacturer, is warranted for one year from purchase not to peel or flake.
Fading is normal and is not covered by warranty.
Yankee Shutter is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred in the removal or reinstallation of its product, nor is it responsible for any inconvenience, commercial loss, incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty does not cover damages or defects caused by product misuse or abuse, improper installation, fire, or acts of God such as (but not limited to) hurricanes, tornadoes, or hailstorms.
All claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase together with the owner's name, address, telephone number, and a brief description of the problem. In order to honor the warranty, the customer must comply with reasonable manufacturer requests in order to determine the cause of the problem. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
